Morning Edition - 3/2/06

It's Like That Y'all
Every now and again we have one of those moments when a song is in order - even if the words don't quite fit just yet. That said, with one hour of sleep under my belt and last minute shopping and packing to do tonight, I am smiling and singing to myself. Just thought I'd share the tune with y'all.... enjoy!

So Amazing
Lyrics - Luther Vandross

Love has truly been good to me
Not even one sad day
Or minute have I had since you've come my way
I hope you know I'd gladly go
Anywhere you'd take me

It's so amazing to be loved
I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above
Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...I'd go

Got to tell you how you thrill me
I'm happy as I can be
You have come and it's changed my whole world
Bye-bye sadness, hello mellow
What a wonderful day

It's so amazing to be loved
I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above
Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...I'd go

And it's so amazing, amazing
I could stay forever, forever
Here in love and no, leave you never
'Cause we've got amazing love

Truly it's so amazing, amazing
Love brought us together, together
I will leave you never and never
I guess we've got amazing love

Ooh, so amazing and I've been wondering
For a love like you

It's so amazing to be loved
I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above
Oh, and it's so, it's so

It's so amazing to be loved
I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above
And you know, it's so

It's so amazing to be loved
I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above
Hey...hey...hey...yeah...it's so

It's so amazing to be loved
I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above
Hey...hey...yeah...hey...yeah...yeah...hey...it's so

It's so amazing to be loved
I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above

On Blast
When was the last time someone had you singing a tune throughout the day and what made the occasion "all that"?

Keep passin' the open windows...

Honey... I'm making obscene X-films, rather than memories lately. LOL

I'm a lyrics person, so what the song says can mean a world more to me than the tune itself. The last time I was really inspired to sing - in a positive way that is, would be December/January... it's a time when I began really enjoying life completely again and taking it real light...unfortunately the last time I sang a negative tune (and totaled my Accord) was I'll Find A way by Blu Cantrell...I can't even revisit that time period. I almost feel like I'm looking back at a different person.

The first night I met my cop in person (after weeks of talking on the phone) he requested and sang "I Wanna Know" (by Joe) to me in front of all my friends. I'd always loved the song...and had hoped one day someone would feel that way about me. The day came true...and that song was stuck in my head for a long time after that...marking one of my most romantic moments.

That's impossible, my mother is only 62!
Tell momma Yeldell that I said Happy Birthday and to celebrate I say she makes some Mac and Cheese for me to eat with her when I come down in April.

My eyes are burnin', my body is sore, it's snowing and I still have to pack... The only song that's coming to mind now is "As We Lay" ...particularly the part where she says, "We forgot about tomorrow as we lay." Cuz I don't know what I was thinkin' about goin' to bed at 5 a.m.

Dear BLOG Family and Friends
During these times of economic and financial strain on our lives and the world, we lose sight the value of a single dollar. Now, your favorite cup of coffee costs less $3-$4.00, dinning out for two will cost $60.00 to $80.00 on average, not to mention a family outing.

Well, this year I want to show that a dollar and the will to make a difference can make do just that, and this year AIDS Walk New York on Sunday, May 21, 2006 is where I plan to prove it. If you sponsor me for a dollar and I’ll supply the will.

This is my “A Dollar Can Makes a Difference” campaign AIDS Walk New York 2006

I am asking you to sponsor me by pledging $1.00, a buck, un peso, etc. for the AIDS Walk New York 2006. I am asking you to pass the word on to your friends and family, and their friends and family, (and so on), that the dollar still has a value and all of us have the power to make a difference; no matter how big or how small.

My goal is to raise $1,000.00, a dollar at a time.

I am not suggesting that you go without Caramel Macchiato but, have a Tall instead of a Venti. I am not suggesting that you put a damper on your love life but dinner at home can be very romantic.

AIDS has had an effect on everyone’s life in some shape or form. I have personally lost many friends to this disease over the last 10 years. 40% of people tested last year alone, who tested positive for HIV and AIDS never returned for their test results; 25% of them were under the age of 25 years old and 7% of them were females.

I encourage you join me in making a difference, I encourage you to re-empower the dollar bill and I encourage you to tell your colleagues, friends and family and you can do it by forwarding this email to them and have them help make “ A Dollar Make a Difference”.

Now unfortunately the web page will only accept donations of $25.00 or more. So, if you can not get 25 friends or more to join in with you to make a one dollar sponsorship because, I am only accept dollar pre-sponsor; “A Dollar Can Makes a Difference” campaign AIDS Walk New York 2006, then you can contact me to make other arrangements. My AIDS Walk New York website link: http://aidswalknewyork2006.kintera.org/clentjones

Thank you for supporting AIDS Walk New York benefiting GMHC (Gay Men's Health Crisis). Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
“A Dollar Can Make a Difference” and you just proved it.
Peace and Blessings,
Clent aka J'Moo

Clent... count me in. Supporting the fight against AIDS is one of the issues nearest my heart. I'll contact you regarding my donation. Thanks for taking up the fight and giving a voice to so many who are no longer here to speak for themselves.
