On Blast Givin’ Up by Jennifer Holliday is one of those songs that tears at the sheer curtains of my soul. What melodramatic love ballad still evokes a good candle burning with a glass of wine for you every now and then?

I second the Whitney Houston opinion...only I could listen to the live version of "didnt we almost have it all", the one where she is wearing the brown leather bomber jacket. PERFECTION.
For me it would have to be, *I've Learned To Respect The Power of Love (either version: Angela Winbush or Stephanie Mills) - thought I'm partial to Stephanie. The lyrics, music, it sets the tone and the song hits home!
