Please join her at 5:30 p.m. The party is sure to be CALIENTE!.... My friend, the author Dwayne Vernon is dropping his book, My Man, My Boyz soon (see side bar at right). He’s also about to complete the second edition to the same. Both are must reads, so be sure to drop by the link to purchase the first of the two page-turners.

On Blast
Dating etiquette…. When dating more than one person at a time, is it proper etiquette to have sex with all the folks you’re dating? Should you just be getting to know the folks and wait to have sex with the one partner you deem worthy of sharing more intimately with? Are there still different rules for males/females in dating? Do different rules apply to aggressive/passive male gay dating?

Keep passin’ the open windows…

The only 2 rules I think you should date by is always practicing safe sex and always being forthright.

If there is no commitment you should let your morals guide you to do as you feel you should do.

I agree Reddmann... for the record, I've been honest, upfront and obviously I'm keepin' it "under wraps." A friend mentioned to me that I am a "ho" for sleeping with the men I'm dating - just days from each other. You know what... until my prince comes along, I have to kiss the frogs to see if any of them turn into my prince... LOL

I think that you should be honest, be careful, and do what makes you feel good. I don't think there are any "rules" that can be easily applied to all people/situations.

Gay men and Lesbians have in some ways based our relationships on a heterosexual paradigm...adopting their rules of conduct as our own...and it makes sense--most of us were raised by them.

That's what's so wonderful and challenging about the gay community. We are still in the process of developing our own guidelines. We can base our rules on reality, rather than archaic ideas that are impractical and just plain stupid.

Until there is a ring on the left hand-fourth finger (aka a solid, verbal committment), you can have sex with whomever you want to. BUT you should also be upfront and honest with EACH person.

On the other hand, when I have dated 2 people and had sex with both of them within days of each other, I feel bad. But that feeling usually goes away after a few hours.
