Morning Edition - 9/14/07

On Blast

This has been an especially trying week for me. In the end, this too shall pass.
What overwhelming pain have you endured that, at the time, felt like you couldn't overcome, but looking back now you realize it has passed?

Keep passin' the open windows...

All of them...every tribulation, in retrospect, I was able to conquer when I didn't realize it. What's interesting is that you never face something that you can't get over. That should bring consolation.

This has been a trying month or two for me ... I'm trying to step out of it because I feel like I have begun to wear it. But I feel you ... your storm will pass.

Brotha man, I feel your pain now. I'm trying to keep a happy face on, but this ish is hard since I don't feel like talking to anyone about it.

But like everything else that we have been through, we will get through it.

Like Kennon said, "this too shall pass"

I can honestly say that each day for me is a blessing now. The storms I've surpassed, as well as the ones that dwell above my head now have only been a force that has made me a stronger, better, wiser, spiritual human being. And this too shall pass is an understatement. I certainly hope and pray the best for you and your's.

this has been a trying week for me and it all started with the britney spears freakshow followed by kanye pitching a bitch.
i am so fucking sick and tired of these exhorbitantly (sp) rich performers (not to be confused with real ARTISTS) who make fucking spectacles of themselves and then have the audacity to complain about their situations. britney needs to officially retire. she will never have to work another day in her life again. most of us single mothers could only dream of such a life.
as for kanye, this fucking guy needs to stay behind the scenes and shut the fuck up!!! he sounded like a pms-ing 13 tear old who drank way too much tab energy. furthermore, he is a closet homophobe. do you all remember when he got up on his soapbox and rambled on about how he looks at gays differently now because his cousin came out to him...according to his recent rant on hot garbage 97.1 in NYC (my 15 year old likes Kanye and wanted to hear the interview) he said he told Beanie Seagel not to disrespect him when Beanie called him a homosexual. My son turned to me and said "why is it disrespectful to be called a homosexual if you are not homophobic" I was so proud of my son. wise words from a wise young man (you know this COcoa). I would like Kanye to have his jaw broken again just so he will SHUT.UP. and stop complaining. for a "racist" network, mtv, vh-1, bet etc sure do play a lot or ethnic videos. and why are two skinny white men fightin over a skankdified whore with hepatitis B? that hot mess really set my ass off on the wrong note for the week.

So many times you have been such an inspiration to others with your brutal honesty, quick wit, caring heart, wisdom and brillant humor. These same endearing qualities shall light your path.

I have visited your blog and found myself lifted afterwards. I already see you walking with the sun on your beautiful face and the wind at your back.

Bright Moments!
