Rundown

I have body aches, a slight temperature and throat/nasal discomfort. Yes, I’m feeling under the weather y’all. It started with a borderline migrane on Sunday that escalated to what today I believe is my body fighting the flu. Folks in my office have been hacking, snifflin’ and showin’ their ass for a few weeks now, so it’s only natural that although I’m current on flu vaccinations and the like, I’m still susceptible to coming in contact with these viruses. Also, since the arrival of Bruce, I haven’t gotten more than 5-6 hours of sleep on any given night – even weekends! – making my ability to regenerate impossible. While feeling like this makes me extremely irritable, I chose to come to work because I’d like to stay home when there’s nothing left to give and I really can’t sit up and pay attention. Contaminate others you say? Well, that’s the price we all pay for working in close environments.

On Blast
What has been the most effective over-the-counter cold/flu medicine you’ve used to date?

Keep passin’ the open windows…

Buckley's that's some fierce stuff in a bottle! It had to have slipped through the FDA radar! lol

I concur. Buckleys Mixture is the best.

Hands down, Theraflu, the kind you sip, has always worked wonders for me.

I'm sorry you feel ill, babe.

I swear by Theraflu though. I get sick often and it always does the job. I have at least 10 boxes in my medicine closet. Yes, I do have a closet for medicine.

I hope you feel better soon. Stop by the blog more often....I like having you over.

I'm getting over a slight case of the flu myself. I will swear by Zicam...theraful and nyquil are essentials as well. I don't like to take to many medicines though...they make me groggy. I' drink lost of lemon honey herbal tea and bluberry tea with echanaecia, and take vitamin C so I can help my body do battle.

Skip that OTC junk. Just head to the doctor and get a Z-Pak. They take care of the bacterial issues that come along with the flu. I felt better in about 6 hours.

I swear by two Dristans, a sip of nyquil and an envelope of theraflu right before I drop one of those Sudafed Shower Soothers in some hot steaming water!!!

Buckleys is the devil i tell ya..evil n a bottle but it works...i prefer a combo of dayquil, tylenol sinus, and cough drop tea (put like 5 halls in a cup of tea, let it marinate, and drink it)

But there is a new strand of the flu goin around so make sure u take ur vitamins..and echinecea (i know i spelled that wrong) helps boost the immune system and shorten colds
