Puerto Rico; A Story in Pictures (Part 1)
Puerto Rico was amazing and I'm still catching my breath! There are more pictures to come, but here is Part 1 in a three-part series of my Great-At-38 Puerto Rico birthday this past weekend. Thank you for all the email, blogger comments and telephone call birthday wishes!
On Blast
I don't know whether I'm too tired physically OR just tired of the unnecessary vanity, but I didn't feel the need to clean-up the Puerto Rico pics.
Do you feel digital photography has changed the reality of what folks look like when the final product is shared?
Keep passin' the open windows...

Chile, you didn't need to clean anything up. You ALL look great! You look like you're having a wonderful time. Makin' the rest of us jealous and what not.
On the question, I don't know that a lot of folks do the digital clean up thing. But then, I don't go around looking at a lot of photos. I think that it's pretty much a futile effort anyway. I mean, you look like what you look like. And let's face it, most of our snaps won't end up in a magazine, so what's the point. Show yourself the way God (and Maybelline, Revlon, or Avon) created you.
Now if the pic is going to be on display, or someone is going to carry it around showing kids... then point and click! Just make sure that you can be recognized.
I'm gonna amen Adam's comments regarding your photos. You and your fam look great and no enhancements are necessary. Quietly you look "enhanced" already in the beach photos! LOL and finger snaps.
When I upload family and friend pics to share, I typically clean them up in a free photoshop-esque software. I'm a novice, so it normally just involves cropping some random chick outta the picture or if I'm feeling artsy, I'll put some joints in black and white or sephia! That's pretty much it.
'Cuz I'm not Beyonce (though I'll be seeing her in exactly 11 hrs and 23 mins) I don't give a rat's azz about a little dimple showing here or there. But I'm understanding why those in the limelight gotta sell us their glamour shots and be at their Sunday's best. It's the nature of the shallow beastly of a world we live in.
So - looks like you had a great time. I was looking at that palm tree and the water in the background. I could use some of that. Although, i'm going to San Juan in March - it'll be my first time.
My Love... You look great. I wish I could have made the event. Maybe next year. Love U Evelyn
You look fine. Hell, I'd trade places with you in a heart beat. I'll worry about my photographs taken on a beautiful beach and you can sit in my cubical and stress over work. Deal?
I think digital photos tell the truth more than film
